What are the technical characteristics of the pipe bender?

2021-11-16

1. Normalization of bending radius

The bending radius should only be used to complete "one tube, one mold" and "multiple tubes, one mold". Regarding a pipe, no matter how many bends it has, and what the bending point of view is, it can only have one bending radius. Since the pipe bender does not interchange modules during the bending process, this is "one tube, one mold". And "multiple pipes and one mold" means that pipes with uniform diameters and specifications should only receive a common bend radius, or use a common set of modules to bend different shapes of pipes, which is conducive to the selection of the number of modules.

2. Proper bending radius value

The size of the bending radius of the catheter determines the size of the resistance that the catheter receives during bending. Generally speaking, the pipe diameter is large and the bending radius is small, and signs of internal wrinkles and slippage appear during bending. The bending quality is difficult to ensure. Therefore, the R value of the pipe cutting die is generally 23 times the pipe diameter.

3. Moderate bending rate

The important effect of the bending forming rate of the pipe bender on the forming quality is: too fast, which simply constitutes the flatness of the curved part of the catheter, and the roundness does not meet the requirements, which constitutes the pipe's tearing and breaking; the speed is too slow, and the simple forming of the catheter With wrinkles and slippage of the compression block, a pipe with a large pipe diameter is likely to cause a sinking of the curved part of the catheter. For many tests on these two pipe benders, it is advisable to determine the bending rate of the pipe at 20%-40% of the maximum bending rate of the machine.

4. Tube regulation

When planning and arranging pipes, it is necessary to obstruct excessive arcs, arbitrary curves, compound bends and more than 180. The arc. The excessively large arc not only makes the tooling awkward, but also is restricted by the specifications of the pipe cutting machine. The arbitrary curve and compound bending plan modeling is very unfair, which greatly prevents the mechanization and automation of production and makes it difficult for the operator to break free from the awkward manual labor. ; Greater than 180. The arc makes the pipe cutting machine unable to unload the mold.

5. Compliant mandrel and its orientation

The mandrel plays an important role in supporting the inner wall of the bending radius of the catheter to prevent its deformation during the bending process. At present, the quality of domestic pipes is difficult to ensure if mandrels are used for bending and forming on machine tools. Of course, if the advance is too large, the so-called "goose head" sign will appear on the outer wall of the curved part. There are many types of mandrels, such as cylindrical mandrels, universal single, double, triple, and four-ball mandrels, directional single and multi-ball mandrels, and so on. In addition, the orientation of the mandrel also has a certain effect on the bending of the pipe: theoretically, its tangent should be flush with the tangent of the pipe bending die, but many tests have shown that it is better to be 1~2mm ahead of time. At this time, the pipe bending Quality is more ambition.
