How to Solve SpringBack on CNC Tube Bending Workpieces — SpringBack Compensation Setting Guide
Target Keywords:tube bending springback, CNC tube bender springback compensation, inaccurate bending angle
Springback depends on material hardness, wall thickness and bending radius. Harder material, thinner wall and larger Rradius produce stronger springback.
Nearly all CNC tube benders support springback compensation. Workflow: Program theoretical angle, produce first sample, measure real angle, calculate springback offset and input compensation value into controller. For example, if target 90° yields real 87°, add +3° compensation.
Do not apply full compensation in one step; adjust incrementally. Compensation values change when switching material batches or dies. Recalibrate with first article for every new batch. Aluminum alloy has unstable springback and requires angle verification per batch.
