CNC Tube Bender Lubrication System Maintenance: Reduce Workpiece Scratches and Machine Wear

Many operators focus only on dies and programming yet overlook lubrication, leading to workpiece scratches and accelerated tooling wear. Two lubrication categories exist: machine base lubrication and process lubrication for tube forming.
Machine base lubrication: Apply grease to guide rails, slides and ball screws. Insufficient lubrication increases axis resistance, drifts accuracy and speeds up component wear. Follow manual for auto lubrication cycle settings and keep oil reservoirs filled.
Process lubrication: Friction between tube and die creates scratches. Use bending oil for carbon steel; special forming oil film for stainless steel and copper. Insufficient oil causes scratches; excessive oil brings extra cleaning work afterwards. Control oil dosage.
Clean lubrication pipelines regularly to avoid chip blockage. Wipe oil and metal residues from dies after production cycles. More lubricant does not equal better result; proper dosage balances surface quality and post processing workload.
